Resource Stewardship Fellow

Fellow Service Role · Volunteer ·1–2 Positions · Modest Honorarium per Semester

Community Conversations is seeking 1–2 students or early career practitioners to join us as Resource Stewardship Fellows — a service role for those who are curious about what it looks like to resource community work in innovative and creative ways. This fellowship sits at the intersection of nonprofit finance, community participatory budgeting, and creative approaches to resourcing time, talent, and treasure.

Fellows support the CEO in collaboration between CC's Treasurer and the Stewards of the Community Steering Committee — helping translate financial information into formats the community can engage with, and bringing community values into financial decision-making.

This is not a “back-office” role. It's a front-of-and-alongside-our-community one.

WHAT FELLOW(S) WILL DO

– Support collaboration between the Treasurer and Community Steering Committee Stewards

– Assist with participatory budgeting processes and community resource conversations

– Help document and communicate how CC stewards volunteer time, talent, and treasure

– Contribute to CC's resource sustainability plan

– Learn alongside CC's financial governance in real time during finance committee meetings

– Co-lead Fellow and Intern-Led initiatives such as "Sista, I'm With Ya!" - a series centering the leadership and knowledge production of early career community members

WHO WE'RE LOOKING FOR

Students or early career practitioners with interest in one or more of the following:

– Nonprofit finance or community accounting

– Participatory and community-driven budgeting models

– Creative approaches to resourcing people-centered organizations

– Community organizing, governance support, or stewardship work

COMPENSATION

A modest honorarium is provided per semester of service for professional development.

This is a learning-centered role; specific deliverables and expectations are shaped in partnership with each fellow.

To apply, send the following to shanae@ccsister2sister.org.

A cover letter sharing your interest in nonprofit finance, participatory budgeting, or community resource stewardship — and what draws you to CC's mission
